5 Ways to Save When Going to Water World

5 Ways to Save When Going to Water World

We love the water.

We’ve been trying especially hard to get to the water over the last week or so – it’s been SO hot here! We don’t have air conditioning at home, so whatever we can do to get somewhere with nice, cool water to splash and play in…we’re doing it.

One of our favorite solutions, of course, is Water World. With four kids in the family, it’s definitely a special treat when we get to go. But the kids always have a blast (ok…and I do, too!) and it’s such a great summer experience. There’s something for all of the kids to do, from toddlers through adults. My own kids range from 7-15 years old and all of them find plenty of rides and water fun to keep them busy!

Since it does cost, especially for families with several children, I wanted to share ways to save money when going to Water World. With a little planning, you can cut back on the costs of the day and just focus on having fun with your family.

5 Ways to Save When Going to Water World

1.) Bring a Mountain Dew can

Bring in specially marked Mountain Dew cans and show them to an employee at the bag check to get a coupon for $8 off admission. One coupon per can. You can find out more here.

2.) Buy tickets at King Soopers

Purchase discounted tickets ($5 off the gate price for general admission and child tickets). You can also purchase Family 4-packs, which give you four admissions for guests over 40″ plus a family sized pizza and four drinks for $149.66 (more than $55 off). King Soopers tickets also allow you to head straight to the entry turnstile without having to wait in the ticket window line. Find out more here.

3.) Check the website

You can save $5 on child or general admission tickets when you buy them online at the Water World website. You can print them at home or pick them up at the park. Use the promo code SAVE$5NOW to get your discount.

You can also save if you want to go twice – save $24 when you buy a 2-Day Fun Pack online…the second ticket needs to be used by the same person within 14 days of the first visit.

4.) Bring your own food

You are allowed to bring your own food into the park. Cut down on costs by bringing lunch and drinks for the family with you! Note that you can’t bring alcohol or non-factory sealed beverage containers. You can find out more here. The other thing we like to do is bring lunch and then share a treat like funnel cake or ice cream later in the day. The kids get something special without the cost of a whole meal.

5.) Get there right when the park opens

Let’s face it – we have kids. They’re going to be up anyway. And if you’re saving money by not renting a cabana, go early to set up in a nice, shady spot for the day. You’ll be there when the kids are fresh and ready to go, you’ll get a good spot, and we always see fewer people earlier in the day. It makes the whole experience easier on everyone. You can find hours for the park here.

Do you have any tips for visiting Water World? I’d love to hear them!

I was given tickets to experience Water World with my family. All opinions are my own and are true.
